It’s not Mother’s Day anymore but doesn’t mean I can’t celebrate her and motherhood. :)
To my mom who can make everything okay…and make you go crazy at the same time!
To my mom who has the power to drain me of my hyper tendencies
To my mom who makes balancing home, school, family and life like a circus-manager and make it seem like a piece of cake
To my mom who can ironically keep sane in a household full of eccentrics, and has unending generosity to welcome others into our home like they are children of her own
To my mom who has the knack of coincidentally picking what I happen to like in a store (of all the knick knacks in the store!!! Talk about face-palm moments of not wanting the two of you to wear the same thing. But it is a lot easier to buy her gifts because we like the same things almost.)
To my mom who is by far the best cheerleader there is (from facebook likes—-she likes almost all the pics i upload and the pics of me in Facebook—-even the not so complementing; and then there’s the through-rain-or-shine support that never gets old)
To my mom who likes to flash to the camera that less than perfect side of her grin to bear pride of her imperfection (I’d imagine everyone else hiding it instead, but not her! Nope, she proudly beams it like a badge.)
To my mom who could think of all kinds of poses for the camera (and she’s done the cabinet-climbing pose, or the tree-climbing pose, and the…)
To my mom who definitely put women half her age to shame
To my mom who’d wear the trinkets I made her even if years later I’ve realized how ugh those accessories actually are
To my mom who really couldn’t help herself but butt in between my sentences wanting the details but also wanting me to go straight to the point
To my mom, I haven’t got a lot of words to go on telling to the rest of the world how I’m lucky to be your daughter but just this…
I love you, Mom. You’re the best!
I stuck this to my study desk in my former boarding house back in my alma mater. I didn’t take it off when I moved out: not because I wanted the next tenant to be motivated or something, but for my own sentimental reasons.
It always seems impossible until it is done.
Now I probably need to make a poster-sized version of this quotation for post-graduate school. Hahaha.

FN 1: FOOD TRIP. Eto yung isang bagay na gusto ko sa UP Diliman eh. Yung mga ibang weird na subjects. Haha! Kung may may Bird Watching, Mahjong at Striptease Aerobics na PE 2 ang College of Human Kinetics, heto naman ang College of Home Economics na mag-ooffer ng bagong GE course under the MST domain. FN (Food Nutrition) 1: FOOD TRIP! :))
